Last night I had 1 hour sleep. You see I was applying for a job and I spent hours getting the formatting of resume how I wanted it in Word. Eventually I had to give up and just accept formatting compromises but that always seems to be the way in Word and I was quite pleased with my resume. It was about 3am when I finished that and then I wrote the covering letter for the job application. It flowed pretty well and I was happy with what I said but then Word crashed and lost my whole convering letter!
The reason (I think) was that I had two documents opened with the file name covering letter.doc stored in separate folders. Word crashed but it only saved a recovery file for the old convering letter.doc and not the one I was working on. Now the time was late and my brain wasn't functioning too well (much like now) but I insisted on finishing it because I probably wouldn't be able to today and I didn't want to miss a shot at this job.
The job is in Yemen - something to support myself so I can actually start studying there. Financially if I sell my motorbike and wait for my big tax return in September I will be debt free with enough cash for a one way flight to the Middle East.
Now comes the enviteable question about whether I really want to do this. NOTHING else that I want to do has will cost me as much as this will.
