Today I struggled all day with how I can tell my employer that I want to resign to study Arabic. Whether I give them a month's notice or 6 months I am still very hesistant to go ahead with it. I'm terrified of change, especially the irreversible variety.
Ebay has something very odd for learning Arabic with no effort at all

Wouldn't it be cool if you could learn Arabic without ever having to do any work? If there was an implant or a speedy brain programmer that could teach you Arabic instantly would you do it? Or would you think it's like cheating or the true pleasure is in the learning?
As mentioned earlier I bought a Franklin / Adawliah Al-Mawrid Electronic Dictionary but I'll be stuffed if I know how to type alifs with hamzas or yeh maksooras with a hamza. I need to rely on the autocorrect spelling feature and write with the hamzas. So if you have a BAS-1595 or another Al-Mawrid dictionary I'd appreciate your suggestions on how to enter these other characters.
The Ectaco EA-800 has just been released... finally. The price is about $450US and it comes with 670,000 words, which is poorer than Al-Mawrid I believe, but the EA800 has English AND Arabic pronouciation for an unspecified number of words. Months ago I actually heard the Arabic pronouciation might not be available in the first release of the EA800s but the feature would be implemented by a software upgrade soon after. I might have been interested in this dictionary if I hadn't already got my $5 beauty but how it's very hard to justify, particularly if I quit my job and move to Yemen. $450US pays for a lot of Arabic classes or plane flights.
I have an enormous headache, either from stress or from my Corn Thins lunch today. I wish I could just decide and move on with it.

Learning Arabic Faster, Subliminal Language Audio CD
The subliminal messages in this CD are mixed into the sound of a mild rain storm and distant thunder. You will consciously hear no distinguishable words which is what separates a normal suggestion vs. a subliminal suggestion. The tremendous power of a subliminal suggestion is it circumvents a persons resistance to change by going directly into the subconscious mind.
