One of my reasons for choosing Yemen was that I wanted to see the beautiful style of the buildings here

 

This fortress is on top of a mountain overlooking Taiz. It is currently being restored I think it's called Al-Qahira Fortress (as in Cairo fortress)

 

Be wary of this cheeky bugger. He offers tourists a hold of his falcon -"no problem" no mention of money and then badgers them for bakshesh for meat for the bird after the photos.

 

To left in the valley you can just see one of Yemen's more famous landmarks
